We as humans cannot see very well underwater without the aid of a face mask.

What we see then, is totally different to what Fish see colours under water to the fish are almost non existent. Fish see in Infrared and UV vision. So therefore Colours have no effect under water. Another Ploy for the Angler and not for the fish you are after.

Fish Sight, many fish have extremely highly developed eye sight especially with predators, they are acute aware of MOVEMENT, enabling them to target their prey, They use reflective light off their preys skin or scales, along with their Noses which pick up blood traces from an injured fish or diseased fish, in this blood is the Chemical which tells them this food.
